Chapter 50: Preparing for trip

"Hold the spoon and fork like this" [Ledang]

"Right" [Neloufa]

"Sigh... Is it really necessary?" [Diana]

"If you don't want to be a laughing stock, then do it" [Ledang]

"I... I'll do my best" [Neloufa]

"That's good" [Ledang]

"I'll just be someone important enough that they won't care how I hold my fork and spoon" [Diana].

"That's good too, but the purpose of this session is not just to learn how to hold your spoon and fork, something even a monkey can do with enough practice, the purpose of this session is to develop manners from an early age" [Ledang].

"Good manners will help you more than wealth and fame" [Head Maid].

"I see. I can't argue with that" [Diana].

It's been almost two months since I enrolled in the school, and things are going smoothly. Almost smoothly... Almost mostly smooth. The thing is, Neloufa and I are lacking in almost every aspect compared to others. I'm undoubtedly strong in magic and combat, and as for Neloufa, well, she's lagging behind in many great aspects, but she's holding her own. Even Kara and Mara, who just started school, can catch up in a short time, which is why we are doubling our efforts.

"This is fun" [Neloufa]

"I don't see how this is fun..." [Diana]

"Still, if we develop our ways, won't the proposal come more and more..." [Neloufa]

"It's getting ridiculous that even you get it" [Diana]

"I'm just glad that the Emblem from Kara, Mara and Marianne is helping, but that doesn't mean it's completely stopped" [Neloufa].

We continue our practice for today until three o'clock in the evening, where we stop early to prepare for the upcoming trip in two days. We are prepared, that's for sure, but it wouldn't hurt to be extra careful.

Neloufa's parents tried to buy things for their own daughter, but Auntie Amleth, Nar and Sas wouldn't let them. Well, after compromising, the three still buy half of what Neloufa needs for the camp. I guess they're overprotective of Neloufa, which is nice. I'm sure we can all agree that it's because she's precious. I mean, she's sweet and hardworking and always has this positive attitude that makes her fun to be friends with.

"We are back" [Nar]

"Tired..." [Sas]

"Welcome back you two" [Diana]

"You two seem dead tired" [Neloufa]

"Urghhh...." [Sas]

"Those lunatics from the church... Nothing you should know about" [Nar]

"?" [Diana, Neloufa]

I thought Nar and Sas were supposed to be investigating THE THING. Is the Church involved? I know there is a new faction emerging from within the Church, but I am not entirely sure.

For one thing, many of the people in the church that Nar, Sas, and I go to are nice people. My blessings do not reveal any kind of malicious intent toward them. They are even nice to Ms. Jean, who is labeled a traitor to the church, which is confusing, that's for sure. Also, Kat and Mr. Savel, who isn't a worshipper of the Church, speak highly of Saint Louis and Saintess Rumia.

"By the way, we won't be able to monitoring you all on the trip" [Nar].

"Work suddenly increases..." [Sas]

"Then other royal guards will be called?" [Diana]

"That, and the school has asked the Adventure Guild for help" [Nar]

"Randy and Kat will be helping them as well" [Sas]

"Of course Linda will be there as well... Just don't let her bad attitude affect you" [Nar].

"But she's nice" [Diana]

Since Kara, Mara, Marianne and several high-ranking heirs of the nobility are involved, security will be tight, and of course Nar and Sas, being the best knights in the land, will be called for help, but I think they have more important things to do.

"Why don't we go over your belongings again?" [Nar].

"We're free till night, might as well go through everything again" [Sas]

"Might as well go out and buy something if we need it" [Nar].

"Thank you Mr. Nar and Mr. Sas, you two are very helpful" [Neloufa].

"Of course" [Sas]

"To be honest, you're like a little sister to us, too, since you're close to Diana, so it's only natural for us to help you" [Nar].

"I'm flattered" [Neloufa].

"Speaking of favoritism" [Diana]

"Well, you better start polishing your manners, then" [Sas]

"Aren't I the nicest little sister in the whole world?" [Diana]

"Yeah..." [Nar, Sas]
