Chapter 43: Art and Craft club

"Reading Club! I always wanted to read novel from different countries, learn about their culture and their different way of writing and expressing emotions! There are countless books in our castle library, but having novels, story books, and friends to share with is what makes me want to join the club!" [Kara]

"I wanted to try the sports club. Since my body is better than ever now, I think running around and sweating will feel good. Of course, I have to make sure that they don't show any indifference because of my status, otherwise it wouldn't be okay. Lacrosse or archery should be fun for a beginner" [Mara].

"Cultural club! If I can learn about the different cultures around the world and incorporate them into my performances, I'm sure I can improve by a mile! I wonder, do the nobles actually dance, or do they just like to watch someone dance? Either way, I hope they would accept me even with our different statuses!" [Neloufa]

"I wanted to go home!" [Diana]

"Nope!" [Merlin]

"Master! Your pinch hurt!" [Diana]

The four of us are discussing different kinds of clubs that are available at the school. Discussion isn't the right word in this situation, because Kara, Mara and Neloufa already had something in mind, and as for me, I just wanted to laze around at home. I'm sure I got it from a certain brother and a certain master, this bad habit of mine.

"And this is for Sas" [Merlin].

"Are you really reading my mind?" [Diana]

This time, along with the pinching, Master actually messed up my hair by rubbing it hard. Master likes to tease me by doing this, and then she will quickly rearrange it into different kinds of hairstyles, and the hairstyle for today is

"Nice ponytail" [Neloufa].

As the bell rang, classes were over for the day, and Master Merlin reminded us all to tell her what clubs we were going to join or had already joined. Most of the students packed their bags and went to their clubs, and as for me

"Looks like we are both in trouble" [Tio].

"True. What should we do?" [Diana]

"How about we spend some time looking at different clubs for a starter" [Tio].

"Then let's go, go, go!" [Diana]

The girl with the light blue hair and ponytail, a child of a baron, Tio, suggested a brilliant idea to me. Since we are both lost, a look around should do the trick.

The two of us start looking at the pamphlet Master Merlin made. For starters, the Magic Club sounds nice, but it sounds like more training.

"True. Sounds like something Randy would do" [Tio].

"Randy? Mr. Randy the adventurer? Red hair, berserker, always uses his big golden axe?" [Randy]

"That's the one. He's like a brother to me, and he's actually told me about you quite a few times" [Tio].

"I guess we are more alike than I think at first" [Diana].

Apparently, Tio's father, the Baron, helped Randy during his days as an I-Rank Adventurer, and Randy, through the opportunity given to him, takes full advantage of it. That's how Tio meets the ever-cheerful Mr. Randy. However, unlike Mr. Randy, Tio is more on the quiet side. She's not shy like Neloufa, but she doesn't talk much, only when it's necessary, but once she starts talking, the words come pouring out.

"Are you having fun, Diana?" [Liya]

"Not bad for the first day, better than swinging the hammer around all day or repeating the same spell thousands of times" [Diana]

"And who might these friends of yours be?" [Liya]

"Tio, a baron's daughter. Nice to meet you" [Tio]

"Liya, are you going to your club?" [Diana]

"I am, which reminds me, are you in any clubs right now?" [Liya]

"Actually, we are both looking for one." [Diana]

"Then how about you take a look at our club, the arts and crafts club? I'm sure you'll have fun" [Liya].

"Sounds good. Shall we?" [Diana]

Tio says Hmm! loudly while nodding her head.

The arts and crafts club is located at the back of the field, it's big and contains a lot of equipment. For a big club, there aren't many people here, and as soon as we enter the club, Marianne, someone with the same curly yellow hair as me, greets us. She's painting on an empty canvas and has just started to stroke her brush. The two of us watch as she begins to paint.

"Wow! Amazing!" [Diana]

"Hehe, and I will continue to improve my skills!" [Marianne]

"Sounds fun, mind if I try?" [Tio]

"Sure, how about you Diana?" [Marianne]

"Let's see, what Liya is doing looks fun" [Diana]

"Oh, Liya is good at knitting and making clothes."

"The clothes and accessories she makes are top class!"

"Just like Nar and Sas, but you make clothes instead! Can I join you?" [Diana]

"The more the merrier" [Liya]

"Looks like our club president is stealing another member!"

"Ohh, we didn't know that" [Tio]

"It's the same for me, she casually asked me if I was interested in drawing and before I knew it, I was already in this club" [Marianne].

Since making clothes is beyond me, I started with something small. I thought about making a doll or a puppet, but it's still difficult, so Liya guided me to make something even simpler. A handkerchief, and it turned out beautiful. I should make more of them and give them to the people in the mansion.
