Chapter 25: Helping Kara and Mara conclusion

Nar and Sas! Nar and Sas! They're here! They're really here! Thank goodness they took my butterfly messenger seriously.

"Nar! Sas! Go kick him and send him into an orc's stomach!" [Diana]

"We will torture him and get all the information first, then throw him to the orc's stomach as you requested" [Sas]

"That will work!" [Diana]

Now that Nar and Sas are here, I focus my attention on the bleeding Jean. She's weak but still conscious. She has already begun to treat herself with her healing magic. I wanted to help, but

"Healing magic isn't as easy as you think, sometimes careless use can do more harm than good" [Jean].

Instead of using magic to help her, she asked me to compress the wound to stop the bleeding, which I did without hesitation. Seeing me carelessly expose my back, the rude guy somehow became angrier.

"You dare to look down on me! All of you! All of you should know your place!" [Gilbert]

"Gilbert, just give it up and come with us" [Nar]

"Know your place, you arrogant commoner!" [Gilbert]

"Nar" [Sas]

"I know" [Nar]

I can tell he's about to use his magic, but Nar and Sas are quicker. Nar cuts off all his limbs, leaving only his torso and head intact, and as for Sas, he quickly seals the guy's magic and mouth. Even though I can tell that the guy wanted to scream from the pain, no sound comes out. It's pretty horrible, even for me, and that's why Jean covered the princesses' eyes with her light magic before any of this happened.

"Doctor, quickly, come here and help Mrs Jean!" [Nar]

When he saw us, he quickly called for help, and in a moment a team of healers and doctors arrived and took Jean out. She didn't resist and seemed to trust whoever came to help her. Even though I don't want them to take her away from me, my blessing assures me that she will be fine.

"Believe in Jean. She's tougher than she looks" [Nar].

"True. Except for Queen Amleth, I can't think of a strong noble woman to rival her." [Sas]

These words from Nar and Sas really reassure me. I can see in their eyes that they have absolute faith that Jean will be fine.

"Sir Nar Vars and Sir Sas Vars, thank you very much" [Kara].

"You too, Young Lady Diana Vars. If it weren't for you four, we would..." [Mara]

Tears were streaming down their eyes. They tried to remain dignified, but I can tell they're having a hard time. Who wouldn't. Someone you know wanted to kill you. I feel the same way. I feel the same way.

"Don't cry... Don't cry..." [Diana]

"We are not..." [Mara]

"True..." [Kara]

We begin to hug each other and let out a little cry. We face each other. We are in a mess. Kara and Mara are tired with tears like a waterfall, and I am still injured from the blast and kick earlier. Our hair is messy. Our clothes are dirty. But despite all this, we comfort each other. I begin to hug them even tighter, and in response they do the same.

(For now, let's just watch from the sidelines.) [Nar, Sas]

I didn't have any friends my age before, but now, together with Neloufa, I think I've found them.

"Kara, Mara" [Diana]

"Yes" [Kara, Mara]

I take out my wand. I can tell it's getting bigger, but I don't get too excited as I begin to lift the curse from both Kara and Mara. The wand, my favorite red dress, and I began to glow. It feels like a wing has grown behind my back, or it could just be my imagination, but it resembles the fairy queen Titania.

"Comfortable" [Mara]

"Diana... What are you doing?" [Kara]

"Helping my friend" [Diana].

That's the only response I can muster as the curse slowly begins to dissipate from them.
