Chapter 17: The five friends

Sneaking out

Away from the five terrible people, namely Nar, Sas, Master Merlin, Jean and Teacher Ledang. Away from my daily routine of studying, training, studying, training, and so on and so forth.

I mean, I wanted to save Kara and Mara as soon as possible, but if it means waking up at four o'clock in the morning and sleeping at ten at night... No, even with the blessing, it feels like my head is just going to explode, even though my body can just shrug off the tiredness.

They are all nice people, kind, warm and I can trust them 100%.

"But not today!" [Diana]

"Must be hard for you" [Neloufa]

"It is!" [Diana]

"I can understand that" (I'm sure my training is nowhere near her level) [Liya]

I sneaked out and was immediately spotted by Liya, and with crocodile tears in my eyes, I convinced Liya not to tell anyone. Liya, seeing my plea, agrees and we sneak out and go outside to play with Neloufa, the dancer who made her debut the other night. Neloufa is in her normal clothes, but she still looks lively.

We talk for a while, and when I say we, I'm sure it's just me talking about my daily training and studying, while Liya and Neloufa laugh at my ranting and sympathize with me, until one point

"That reminds me, where are Kara and Mara? Should we go play with them too?" [Neloufa].

Neloufa asked innocently.

"Sure!" [Diana]

"Um..." [Liya]

"Come on, let's go!" [Diana]

"I'm sure they will be happy to see us" [Neloufa]

"I guess they will" (Neloufa, you don't really know who Kara and Mara are, do you?) [Liya]

The two want to take a carriage first, but waiting for a public carriage is quite boring, so I just use my magic on them and make them float along with me. The sun has also begun to rise, so I protect them with a mini cloud that occasionally produces a very small amount of wind and snow.

"We are flying! We are flying!" [Neloufa]

"This, is a bit scary" [Liya]

"Don't worry, you can trust me!" [Diana]

"This is fun. Can you do it for me in my next performance!" [Neloufa]

"If I can sneak out, sure" [Diana]

As we headed to the castle, Neloufa became confused

"Why are we going to the castle?" [Neloufa]

"To see Kara and Mara" [Diana]

"I see... Are they going to see their parents who work at the castle" [Neloufa].

"Hmmm? No, they live there, in the castle" [Diana]

"Sorry..." [Neloufa]

Ohh, right, Neloufa does not know Kara and Mara's true identities. This should be fun. I can actually play a little trick on her.

"Don't you know they're princesses?" [Diana]

"I see... Sorry, I suddenly feel sick, can I go home" [Neloufa].

"Really! Then we should let the castle healer see you" [Diana]

"No, it's fine... Just a normal stomachache" [Neloufa].

"No! I don't want you to get sick! We should definitely go to the castle now" [Diana].

"Diana... Wait!" [Neloufa]

(Your evil grin is obvious. You obviously took it after the two heroes) [Liya]

I ignore Neloufa's scream and fly even faster towards the castle. At the castle gate, Neloufa tries to run away, saying that she obviously won't be allowed to enter the castle. Even Liya said the same thing, but with my special pass from Auntie Amleth, all three of us are escorted to Kara and Mara's room, where there are

"As expected, you're here!" [Nar]

"We have been waiting for you" [Sas].

"I suddenly have a stomach ache just like Neloufa, if you will excuse me" [Diana].

Why are they in Kara and Mara's room?

"Aunt Amleth, save me!" [Diana]

"Well, how about you two let them play with Kara and Mara?" [Amleth]

"Please" [Kara, Mara]

Kara and Mara backed me up. And with three against two, it's obvious who's going to win.

"Once in a while shouldn't be a problem" [Nar]

"Yaay!" [Diana]

I said that. So the five of us friends play to our hearts content today, even though Neloufa is like someone petrified by a curse.
