Chapter 16: My daily training

The sun has not yet risen. The morning is cold. No sound of birds chirping, no sound of chickens waking up the citizens of the world, no sound of the maid sweeping away any dust, but there is one sound that is made, and that is

"Fight! Fight!" [Nar]

"Fight..." [Diana]

"Zz..." [Sas]

The energetic Nar at the front with a passion like a fire, Sas in the middle, like a zombie in a daily routine he hates, and me, trying to understand why we are running at five in the morning.

Nar is in charge of my physical training. From stamina to fighting technique. He told me, and I quote, "You will undoubtedly be a great magician one day, but that doesn't mean you should neglect your physique.

We run around in small areas. I can see that some people have actually gotten up early to set up their shop, or the guards on their patrols greet the two heroes as well as adventurers who have just returned from their difficult quest. Their reaction to Nar and Sas is one of admiration, while to me it is

"Do your best"

"Are you okay, little girl?"

"Poor you, trying to catch up with the two heroes".

Their reaction when they see me running around in the dead of morning is one of pity and encouragement.

"Good morning... Is Diana all right?" [Jean]

"Thirsty... Water..." [Diana]

Since there's no water source nearby, I just create a water bubble and drink from it. It's better than searching around.

"Isn't the training too hard for an eight-year-old girl?" [Jean].

"Surprisingly, she can actually last this long" [Nar]

"I'm dying..." [Diana]

We stop for a moment and talk to Jean, who is also up this early in the morning. She mentions that she's on her way to pick some fresh medicinal herbs outside the city walls in the morning. Obviously she is doing it for Kara and Mara.

"We should join you as well" [Nar].

"Tired... But agree" [Sas].

"For Kara and Mara..." [Diana]

"Come on, you two! Fight! Fight!" [Nar]

Nar tries to raise our fighting spirit by shouting the word fight several times. Sas, being sleepy, said the charm word just so Nar wouldn't nag him, and seeing how Sas could get away with it, I did the same.

Then we run to where Jean is going. Jean is dragged along with Sas and me, but she doesn't really protest much, in fact she runs along with us and doesn't even break a sweat. Now that I see it, even Sas, as sleepy as he is, can keep up without much of a problem.

At the end of the day, I gave up right at the castle gate. Seeing this, Nar just picked me up and kept walking. I thought he was going to scold me, but he just praised me for making it this far. I am actually happy to hear him say that.

Since the surroundings are still dark, we light a fire to see our surroundings, but Sas has a different idea.

"Diana, use the ball of light and maintain the intensity" [Sas].

"Right!" [Diana]

If it's a simple ball of light, I can do it easily!

"Ta-dah" [Diana]

"It's flickering..." [Sas]

Seeing some flickering from my orb, Sas dispelled it and asked me to do it again.

"Keep the same intensity from this moment until sunrise." [Sas]

"But what's the point of maintaining the same..." [Diana]

"It's fading. Dispel" [Sas]

"Hey!" [Diana]

And so we keep having the same exchange about how Sas is staring at my spell, and the moment he seems displeased, he will break my spell. I tried my best not to let him do that, but he's just too good!

Just as we see the sun rising, I am floating...

"Master... Why do you let me float..." [Diana]

"I'm going to kidnap this little darling now." [Merlin]

The sound of Master Merlin echoing through the forest

"She's still not given her breakfast" [Nar]

"Don't worry, I'll cook for her" [Merlin]

"She has classes at 9:00 a.m." [Sas]

"Noted" [Merlin]

"Why are you so quys so calm when I am obviously getting dragged around?" [Diana]

"Have fun training" [Jean]

"Jean! Not you too!" [Diana]

And so I am dragged around.

Getting up early in the morning for training with Nar, classes, magical training, training with Master Merlin, more classes, more training with Sas and so on.

"Kara... Mara... Liya... Neloufa... Fie... Playing around..." [Diana]

Looks like I won't be able to play with them for a while
